Briefly: In California, there’s one import that nobody wants

According to the New York Times, an estimated 50 million gallons of untreated sewage, industrial chemicals, and trash flow from Tijuana, Mexico, into southern San Diego County every day. This has resulted in beach closures and a major risk to public health and safety. The U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission has secured $600 million to double its treatment capacity, but these changes will take years.
