Frisco was recently notified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment that five of 40 homes recently tested had lead levels at or in excess of 15 parts per billion, which is the maximum allowable limit. The town believes that the problem most likely stems from issues in individual homes but is currently awaiting test results from their water sources.
The Environmental Protection Agency requires Frisco to test 40 homes that were built between 1983-1987 every six months. Frisco plans to install a pH adjustment system at all of the town’s source water locations as part of the solution for addressing the issue.
