Briefly: Will Colorado see drought conditions start to develop this spring?

According to the Vail Daily, as Colorado’s mountains are hit with recent snow, it’s hard to think about the potential of an upcoming drought. However, the most recent seasonal drought outlook from the National Weather Service predicted that most of Colorado would develop drought conditions heading into May, as La Niña weather patterns predict drier and warmer conditions than normal leading to drought developing or deepening across much of the state.
