According to Aspen Public Radio, the Colorado River is a vital resource for the agriculture industry across multiple states. However, climate change and persistent drought is making water conservation an even greater priority. In order for groups such as the Orchard Mesa Irrigation District to focus on water conservation in ways that are beneficial to all users, the water infrastructure is going to need an upgrade first.
