The Los Angeles Times reports that Arizona’s plans to tap its dwindling groundwater supplies to build thousands of new homes is causing rising concern among water experts. Some believe heavy use of the groundwater isn’t a sustainable solution as the state’s share of Colorado River water is cut back due to drought.
