The Denver Post reports that the severe drought is leaving major scars across the state, from abandoned boat ramps to farm fields left to dry in the sun as irrigation ditches fail to deliver supplies. Summer rains have provided some relief, but not enough to refill reservoirs or offset many of the drought’s impacts, officials said.
