Briefly: Utah’s Great Salt Lake rings alarm bells over released climate-warming emissions

According to The Guardian, a recent study found that the Great Salt Lake has lost 73% of its water and released 4.1 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere in 2020. The Lake is headed toward irreversible collapse fueled by the recent mega-droughts in the Southwest.
