Briefly: Melting permafrost causing metal concentrations in streams to rise

Aspen Journalism reports that a new study of water chemistry at 22 stream sites in Colorado shows that concentrations of zinc and copper have doubled over the past 30 years and scientists believe the melting of ground that was once almost always frozen could be the cause.
