The Colorado Sun reports that Gov. Jared Polis has appointed Lorelei Cloud, a member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and vice chair of the Southern Ute Tribal Council in southwestern Colorado, to the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB). She is the first tribal member on the board. Cloud will represent the San Juan/Dolores River Basin on the CWCB.
