According to Colorado Politics, members of Colorado’s Water Availability Task Force have reported that the rains received in June and July have provided some drought relief in southwestern Colorado. However, water levels there and in most of the state’s reservoirs remain lower than average. A report released July 1, 2021 from the Natural Resources Conservation Service depicted reservoir levels in the Southwest, Gunnison, and Arkansas basins considerably lower than a year ago.
