Briefly: Yikes! Lake Powell hits new low

The Washington Post reports that Lake Powell hit a new low last week of 3,522 feet above sea level, just 32 feet above the critical 3,490 elevation level, at which power production for millions of people would likely cease. Experts continue to call for major reforms to how the river is managed.
