Briefly: Yavapai-Apache Nation reaches water settlement after change in Arizona state policy

The Arizona Republic reports that on June 26th, another tribe in Arizona has secured its water supply, this time after a 50-year-long struggle. This settlement will bring new water to the Verde Valley for the 2.700-member tribe and confirms the tribe’s historic irrigation rights.
