Briefly: White House ousts top official in U.S.-Mexico water wars

According to the Washington Post, on Monday the Trump administration demanded the resignation of the top federal official, Maria-Elena Giner, who leads the International Boundary and Water Commission. The Commission plays a central role in navigating cross-border water conflicts, such as the dwindling water deliveries to farmers in South Texas. Giner was overseeing a dispute between the United States and Mexico over untreated sewage flowing across the border into California.
