According to the New York Times, Oklahoma has been exemplary at cleaning up its streams. A big part of the solution was simply to give cows clean drinking water and keep them out of the streams. One farmer’s experience with Horse Creek showed that focusing on stream conservation efforts has the potential to increase the health of both livestock and whole ecosystems.
