Briefly: US Supreme Court hears key WOTUS case

Roll Call reports that the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments Oct. 3 on how to define which water bodies can be protected under the Clean Water Act. The issue has hamstrung some water permitting projects in several states and the court’s ruling could have an impact on how the EPA writes a revision to this section of the CWA later this year.
