Briefly: Trump and GOP lift restrictions on efficient household appliances

According to the Washington Post, last Wednesday President Donald Trump signed an executive order lifting restrictions on how much water can be used by showerheads, saying his administration would “make America’s showers great again.” The order directs the Energy Department to rescind a regulation issued under President Barack Obama and later reinstated under President Joe Biden. The rule, focused on water conservation, limited the flow from each showerhead on the market to 2.5 gallons of water per minute.
