According to The Hill, the Trump administration denied a special request from Mexico for the delivery of Colorado River water to the city of Tijuana. The U.S State Department had justified this decision and blamed Mexico for failing to abide by the 1944 treaty responsible for managing shared water deliveries of the Colorado, Rio Grande, and Tijuana rivers. This is the first time a request has been denied in 81 years.
