Briefly: Report – U.S., Mexico Colorado River sharing should change in dry times

KJZZ Phoenix reports that a new briefing from a group of Colorado River experts calls for a change in the way the United States shares Colorado River water with Mexico. The experts suggest that the U.S. send a percentage of the water that is actually in the Colorado River each year to Mexico, rather than a fixed amount, which would allow the countries to operate as partners on the river and insulate Mexico from any potential litigation among states.
