Briefly: Polis OKs tightening rules on sports betting, a major source of water funding

Colorado Public Radio reports that Gov. Jared Polis has signed onto law a bill that tightens rules on how online sports bets can be made, including prohibiting the use of credit cards to fund bets. A broader set of rules was rejected, in part because of concerns that it would lower tax revenues that help fund the Colorado Water Plan. Sports betting revenue generated $44 million in water funding last year.
