Briefly: Optimism but no deal on Colorado River after governors meet

KUNC Public Radio reports that, after a meeting last week in Washington, D.C., governors of the seven Colorado River Basin states and negotiators again failed to resolve a long-running impasse over how to divide the river’s waters and operate it in the future. Some, however, expressed optimism ahead of another deadline Feb. 14.
