Briefly: New Mexico may tap previously unused “brackish” groundwater

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that New Mexico has set aside money this year to begin drafting rules and exploring projects that would bring salty groundwater to the surface and then treat it so that it can be used as drinking water.
