The Colorado Sun reports that a group of environmental organizations led by Save the Colorado has won an appeal giving it the right to challenge the expansion of Denver Water’s Gross Reservoir in western Boulder County.
At the same time, Boulder County commissioners issued a formal protest to federal regulators who were responsible for approving the project, saying that the construction, noise and lights were destroying a remote area that is home to hundreds of people. A Denver Water spokesman declined to comment, saying only that the utility was considering its options.
