Briefly: Feds unveil plans to expedite new rules on Colorado River

CNN reports that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will fast-track the writing of new operating rules on the massive, drought-strapped Colorado River system. What are known as the Interim Operating Guidelines were set to expire in 2026, but the fed is moving ahead now, saying the river system is in too much danger of crashing to wait.
