According to the Washington Post, The Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday that it plans to rescind and reconsider limits on four “forever chemicals.” The original limits were part of the Biden Administration’s efforts to limit exposure to six known per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), hazardous chemicals linked to a range of serious illnesses. This decision seems to be coming out of a focus on reducing costs for water systems.
