Briefly: Can planes and laser beams help Colorado better understand its water supply?

According to Sky Hi News, with the increasing challenges to Colorado’s water supply, lawmakers are looking to upgrade the decades-old method of tracking the state’s primary water source: snowpack. House Bill 1115 would create a new statewide snowpack measurement program using new tools like light detection and ranging technology, also known as LiDAR.
