Briefly: California water agencies settle Colorado River drought plan dispute

According to U.S. News, the Imperial Irrigation District and the Metropolitan Water District have reached a settlement on two lawsuits. Imperial had initially sued Metropolitan, claiming they had violated a state environmental law by sidestepping Imperial amidst drought contingency talks. The second allegation accused Metropolitan of breaching a contract concerning the storage of Colorado River water.
