Briefly: California homeowners cut water use 7%

The Los Angeles Times reports that California homeowners answered the call to conserve back in 2021 and slashed use by 7%, but that is far short of the 15% Gov. Newsom had requested when the state was mired in a three-year drought emergency that was the worst on record. Drought restrictions have been lifted due to historically high moutain snowpacks and recent rain events.
