Briefly: Arizona’s rural groundwater deal stalls as legislative session nears end

According to the Washington Post, Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona recently met with Republican leaders to push forward her proposal to create rural groundwater management areas. However, negotiations between the two sides seem to have reached a standstill with no solution in sight. As the legislative session nears a close, legislators continue to seek a solution to conserve water.
