Briefly: Gunnison River anglers ask feds to release more water, protect fish

Aspen Journalism reports that Gunnison River anglers and boaters are asking the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to increase Gunnison River streamflows to alleviate damage to the fishery. This request was submitted to Reclamation in a letter, in response to the feds’ announcement that they would reduce flows out of Blue Mesa Reservoir to as low as 200 cubic feet per second in an attempt to recover some storage in the reservoir.
