Briefly: Weather, water and people may have led to the collapse of Double Arch at Lake Powell

According to the Arizona Republic, on Aug. 8, the iconic Double Arch collapsed into Lake Powell. While scientists say all arches have a finite lifespan, Double Arch’s collapse was likely accelerated by weather, and by environmental and human stressors.
