Briefly: US air force avoids PFAS water cleanup, citing supreme court’s Chevron ruling

According to The Guardian, the US Air Force is refusing to comply with orders to clean up PFAS drinking water contamination in the city of Tuscon, Arizona, after citing the US Supreme court case which overturned the “Chevron doctrine”. The ruling resulted in decreased regulatory power from the government which have profound impacts on the EPA’s ability to protect the public from pollution.
