Briefly: Nevada eyes spending more money on buying, retiring groundwater rights

The Nevada Review Journal reports that the state is examining whether it needs to spend more money to purchase groundwater rights and retire them, in an effort to protect declining aquifer levels in several areas of the state that don’t rely on Colorado River water.
