Briefly: Colorado’s snowpack likely to be lower this year than in 2023

Summit Daily reports that Colorado’s mountain snowpacks are likely to be thinner than they were last year, but because last year provided so much moisture, the outlook isn’t as grim. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, state snowpack stood at 96% of the 30-year median as of Feb. 12.
