Briefly: Colorado Water Conservation Board names new director

Lauren Ris has been named director of the Colorado Water Conservation Board. Ris has served as deputy director of the CWCB since 2017, and prior to that had an extensive career in state government. Ris replaces Becky Mitchell, who now serves as the full-time state representative on the Upper Colorado River Commission, which represents Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming on interstate Colorado River issues.
