Briefly: Biden, Congress clash over new clean water rules

Wyoming Public Media reports that President Biden and members of Congress from both parties disagree over new rules expanding the protections of waterways. The Waters of the United States Rule, known as WOTUS, defines which waterways require federal protection under the federal Clean Water Act. EPA finalized an updated WOTUS rule in December 2022. Lawmakers approved a resolution last week overturning the new rules, and Biden is expected to issue a veto in response.
