The Los Angeles Times reports that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has held preliminary meetings with power producers, water users and others to begin examining different technical options that could allow the Glen Canyon Dam to operate and produce power effectively with much less water than it has in the past. The bureau owns and operates the dam on the drought-ridden Colorado River.
