Briefly: Salton Sea to get $250M in federal drought funding

The Associated Press reports that federal officials have announced plans to spend $250 million over four years on restoration work around the drying Salton Sea, a lake in Southern California that’s fed largely by runoff from farms in the Imperial Valley that use Colorado River water.
