Briefly: California’s cities, ‘burbs could reduce water use more than 30%

The Los Angeles Times reports that the state’s total urban water use is 6.6 million acre-feet, and that volume could be reduced 30% to 48% by replacing leaky pipes, getting rid of old washing machines, reusing more wastewater and capturing more storm water.
