The Los Angeles Times reports that West’s mayors who are part of the group Climate Mayors are calling for federal and state leaders to help address Colorado River shortages as climate change threatens Western water security. In a series of proposals released this week, the Climate Mayors called for federal and state involvement and financial support. Specifically, the proposal urged the federal government to support funding for infrastructure projects and to maintain, increase or restore funding in various federal water programs.
