Webinar: Turning Waste into Resource

In 2023, Colorado's legislature set up a new Colorado Produced Water Consortium through House Bill 1242. The bill required the Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) to create rules in order to reduce freshwater use and increase the use of recycled produced water in oil and gas operations. Those rules are now expected to be adopted in early 2025.

Join us on February 11 at noon for a webinar on produced water where we'll start with some basics about water in the oil and gas industry. We'll learn what to expect from those new rules, hear about the Colorado Produced Water Consortium, and explore opportunities and challenges from the industry and environmental perspectives.

With speakers:
Hope Dalton, Director, Colorado Produced Water Consortium
John Messner, Commissioner, Energy and Carbon Management Commission
Grant Tupper, Director of Operations and Business Development, Select Water Solutions
Josh Kuhn, Senior Water Campaign Manager, Conservation Colorado

A limited number of scholarships are available. Contact caitlin@wateredco.org to learn more and to request a scholarship.

This webinar is possible thanks to support from the Colorado Water Conservation Board.
